The USS Battleship Missouri (Battleship) is part of the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument at Pearl Harbor, Oahu. The National Monument consists of four historical sites: the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Battleship Missouri, USS Bowfin Submarine and Pacific Aviation Museum.
It is possible to experience this and all historical sites in one day visit. Daily tours are available from Waikiki hotels. Also, one day fly away tours are also offered from Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Big Island to visit Pearl Harbor.
Board the shuttle to Ford Island, and explore the world’s most famous battleship–the “Mighty Mo.” Walk the deck of this famous battleship and stand beneath the main turrets–huge cannons capable of firing a shell over 20 miles. Then “go below” and explore where crews lived and worked. You’ll marvel at the dent caused by a crashing Kamikaze plane and even see the exact spot where WWII ended, right here in the Pacific. Access: The Battleship Missouri is located on Ford Island and is only accessible for the general public via a shuttle bus departing every 15 minutes from the Arizona Memorial Visitors Center.
Military Personnel and Military Contractor with valid ID access: You are able to access Ford Island directly.
Note: The last shuttle back to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Centers depart from Pacific Aviation Museum at 5:00 pm.
About the USS Oklahoma Memorial – Pearl Harbor
As you disembark the shuttle bus to the USS Missouri, you will see the solemn memorial. You can take pictures as you may tribute to the 429 serviceman that lost their live the tragical December 7, 1941.
The monument design consits of 429 white marble columns symbolizing a serviceman in pristine white dress uniform. Each of marble is 7 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds honors the heroes that gave their ultimate sacrifice. The memorial’s black granite walls suggest the once grandiose hull of the Oklahoma.
After you pay respect to the heroes of the USS Oklahoma you will continue to board the Mighty Mo, where the Japanese delegation surrendered to the USA and its allies ending WWII.

The Memorial is at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor an only USA military personnel with valid military id can drive across to Ford Island. If you are on the Pearl Harbor- Arizona Memorial and USS Battleship Missouri, you will have access to the Oklahoma Memorial -Pearl Harbor as part of your tour package.
